Aligning Soul + Song
It’s New Year’s Day 2008 & I’m humming down the H-3 to Bob Marley: “I wanna love you! And treat you right! …every day & every nite.”
It’s as good as any resolution but better, I LOVE THIS SONG! Before I know it, it’s over & flip to Norah Jones beckoning, “Come Away With Me….” Aaaah!
It’s a perfect day; the spontaneous bursts on my horizon: an alignment of soul + song.
To launch a “great ‘08” I jumped in my car & asked God to be Alpha & Omega, Author & Finisher, and yes, DJ. He does NOT disappoint! He knows all of my favs & surprises me with fresh contrasts. “I Dare U to Move” against the Beatles’ “Woman.” Like prosciutto with melon. Or icy cold chocolate shake with hot French fries. MMMMMmmm!
My hungry ears feed a satisfied heart.
